I took my love, I took it down
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
'Till the landslide brought me down
Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail thru the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life
Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I'm getting older too
Oh, take my love, take it down
Climb a mountain and turn around
If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide will bring it down
If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well maybe the landslide will bring it down

I love this song. My favorite line is "I've been afraid of changing 'cause I've built my life around you." I am wondering if this is speaking of a parental attachment (perhaps father-daughter relationship) or maybe a romantic one? I'm not entirely sure.
I think maybe the song is about personal growth...how we handle changes in our lives with the grace and dignity of an adult while still attempting to hold onto that zest and energy we had as youth. Maybe?

I think it is about moving on. I would guess it is a woman ready to pack her bags and leave, but, in actuality, she doesn't yet know where to go or how to start as it has been so long. She really has spent a great chunk of her life doing something wrong, but she realizes a long time is better than forever, no matter how difficult.
